Senexx to Partner with Yammer

Enables Employees to Identify Organizational Expertise and Work Together, Faster

SAN FRANCISCO - (April 24, 2012) - Senexx, the enterprise expertise engine, today announced a partnership  with  Yammer, Inc., the leading provider of Enterprise Social Networks.  The partnership will include an integration that auto-populates Yammer profiles and expedites the process for uncovering subject-matter experts in a Yammer network. The integration was built utilizing LinkedIn’s open APIs.

How it Works

To streamline the process for identifying expertise, Senexx auto-tags questions in Yammer with appropriate topics and instinctively copies experts based on their profile content.
If an employee is following a certain topic, but is not necessarily following a particular colleague, adding a relevant topic allows others to discover this post. Notifying experts via at-mention increases the likelihood that a question is answered faster and more accurately.

Yammer users who have enabled Senexx can sync their profiles with LinkedIn in seconds. Senexx pulls basic information from LinkedIn to populate the job title and location fields in Yammer, while running a deeper analysis of the remaining LinkedIn profile to fill in the expertise section. Upon completing the sync, Senexx suggests relevant groups in Yammer that users should join or create, so employees can begin collaborating in teams faster. An activity story is then published in a Ticker notifying colleagues that a coworker has synced their profile using Senexx, encouraging others to follow suit.

For example, a sales rep may start a conversation in Yammer inquiring about graphic design assistance for a Powerpoint slide deck. Given the context and wording of the question, Senexx will auto-tag the post with relevant topics such as “Powerpoint” and “design,” alerting followers of these topics to the post. In addition, Powerpoint and design experts — determined by their profile composition — are at-mentioned in the thread, providing the sales rep with recommended resources.
